Alize Comerford

Alize is the founder, director and head vocal coach at Alize’s School of Singing. Beginning her musical journey at the age of 5, she has over 25 years’ experience in performing and singing. Alize graduated with a first-class Honours in Performance at The Waterford Institute of Technology. Furthering her studies, Alize was awarded a Masters of Education in Music at The University of Limerick.

Alize has studied under some of the most renowned singing teachers and vocal coaches in Ireland. Learning numerous singing methods and techniques from coaches such as Regina Hanley and Bridget Knowles, she developed her own innovative and extensive vocal coaching syllabus.

Creating a fun environment is one of the main elements of successful teaching. It is important that all students enjoy their lessons and leave with a smile

Amy Cooke

Amy is a primary school teacher in Kilkenny City with a Bachelor of Education Degree from the Marino Institute of Education. Amy has a long history in the performing arts, she has worked with many school choirs and has participated in choral events such as Peace Proms and Laudate.

Growing up, Amy was a member of Jesters Stage Academy and Dancewise. She was also a member of the Presentation Kilkenny Competition Choir and studied as a voice student with Veronica McCarron where she was awarded the Bronze, Silver and Gold Medal in the Royal Irish Academy of Music singing examinations. She is currently a member of the local Lady Desart choir and took part in the Virtual Voices choir.

I am delighted to be joining the team at Alize’s School of Singing. For me singing is all about having fun, promoting well-being and developing confidence. I look forward to bringing my love and passion for music to the children I teach.

Lisa Lonergan

Lisa is a qualified expert in music theory, music composition, and musical performance. Having studied music theory with Berklee College Boston and performance studies with Trinity College London I am delighted to welcome her to the team.

Not only has Lisa an abundance of exceptional experience and qualifications, she is also training as a Vocal Coach with the Institute of Vocal Advancement and works as a online Vocal Coach as well as in person.

Christine Caldbeck

Christine is a graduate of MTU’s Cork School of Music and earned her BMus studying piano as well as voice. While completing her degree, Christine performed in many choral competitions with the Cork School of Music’s female voice choir, Capella Lyrica.
While completing her degree, she worked as a singing teacher in Spotlight Stage School, Co. Cork. She has learned a lot from this teaching experience and does her best to stay ahead of the new singing trends that are coming and going these days.
Christine has a huge love for Musical theatre and has completed a lot of work with the MTU Musical Society. She worked as the Chorus Mistress on the 2020 production of Godspell and was the Musical Director for the 2020 intervarsity’s piece of Jekyll and Hyde. She also loves getting involved on stage and has played Joanne in ‘RENT’ and Crystal Gordon in ‘Bad Girls’.

Angela Langton

Angela is an enthusiastic and experienced singer who loves to share her passion for music in her classroom as a primary school teacher.
Amongst qualifications in areas of English and Psychology, she was awarded with a Professional Masters of Education degree from Hibernia College. Her interest in performance and singing stems from a young age and is evident in her many years of experience engaging in Starlight Stage School, Kilkenny School of Music and choral events such as Peace Proms.
Angela has been a member of the multi award-winning Presentation School Choir and received her vocal training as an Alto from Ms Veronica McCarron. She has completed the Royal Irish Academy of Music vocal examinations and received Bronze, Silver and Gold medals.
She is a past-pupil of Kilkenny’s School of Music where she was trained and selected as a violinist performing with the prestigious Kilkenny Youth Orchestra.
